Last night, the Vegas Golden Knights announced that they would be joining the ranks of NHL teams sporting a “jersey entitlement partnership” patch (yes, that’s what they’re calling it) on their uniforms during the 2022-23 season.
The jersey ad deal is with Circa Sports, a sportsbook operator based out of Las Vegas; it’s for multiple seasons and only for Golden Knights games played at home – so presumably to be worn with their home greys and alternate golds, though the announcement only showed the gold jerseysis the toronto maple leafs game on tv tonight. The patch shows Circa Sports’ scripted logo in grey placed on a matching gold background.
“We are proud to continue our work with Circa Las Vegas through our first-ever jersey entitlement partnership,” said Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz in the team’s press release. “Circa Las Vegas and the Vegas Golden Knights both recognize the tradition within our historic community while also contributing an integral role in the growth of our beloved sports and entertainment industry.”

The Golden Knights are the fourth NHL team to announce they’ll be wearing an ad on their uniform in 2022-23; thus far, we’ve heard from the Washington Capitals, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Pittsburgh Penguins. The ’22-23 campaign will be the first to permit NHL teams to wear a “jersey entitlement partner” patch on their jerseys following two seasons of “helmet entitlement partner” decals on their buckets.
